Grading Guide

Every piece we sell is second-hand, so no two are identical. Rather than dress that up, we grade everything before it goes live and show you exactly what you're getting.

Grade A

Our best stock. Clean, sharp, and ready to wear straight out of the parcel.

  • No visible flaws
  • Colour and shape still strong — minimal fading, no stretching or sagging
  • All hardware works: zips, buttons, poppers, drawstrings
  • Wear it anywhere, straight away

A second grade — coming soon

We're adding a second grade shortly, for stock that carries more honest wear. We'll publish the full definition on this page the moment it goes live.

What you get on every listing

Whatever the grade, the listing gets the same detailed photography — multiple shots covering the whole garment, including anything we'd want to know about before buying it ourselves.

Sizing and measurements

Vintage sizing is unreliable. A W34 from the 1990s is rarely a W34 today, and older denim in particular was cut very differently. Don't trust the label on its own.

Want exact measurements on a piece? Email us and we'll measure it flat and send the numbers over before you buy. We're happy to do it — it saves you a return and it saves us one too.

To compare at home, lay a garment you already own flat and unfastened, and measure edge to edge without stretching it:

  • Waist — across the top of the waistband, then double it
  • Inside leg — crotch seam down to the hem
  • Chest — armpit to armpit, then double it
  • Length — highest point of the shoulder down to the hem

If it isn't right

If a piece arrives and it doesn't match how we described or photographed it, tell us and we'll put it right. See our refund policy for the full detail.

Still unsure about something? Email hello@discounted.fashion and we'll take extra photos or measurements before you commit.
